Carle Mobile Market
Begins: 8/12/2026 - 1:30
Ends: 8/12/2026 - 3:00
The Carle Mobile Market will be set up in the First Church of Christ parking lot on Wednesday, August 12 from 1:30 - 3:00. They will offer low-cost food and household items. They currently accept cash and credit options, and will be expanding payment options in the coming months. Check out carle.org/services/mobile-market for more information.
Water Shut off
Begins: 8/13/2026 - 8:00 am
Ends: 8/13/2026 - 4:30 pm
Water Shut off day is August 13. You must pay your bill by 4:30 on Wednesday, August 12 to avoid the $40 Non Payment Fee. If you are paying after 4:30 on August 12, you MUST include the $40 NPF or your water will be shut off.
City Council Meeting
Begins: 8/17/2026 - 7:00 pm
Ends: 8/17/2026
There will be a city council meeting at 7 pm on Monday, August 17 at the Georgetown City Hall. The public is welcome to attend. The agenda will be posted under the government tab and meeting agenda, FY 2026-27.
Labor Day Holiday
Begins: 9/7/2026 - 8:00 am
Ends: 9/7/2026 - 5:00 pm
The City Hall, Street & Alley, and Water & Sewer Departments will be closed on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day.
Water Bill Due Date
Begins: 9/8/2026 - 8:00 am
Ends: 9/8/2026 - 4:30 pm
Water bills are due September 8, 2026. If you pay after September 8th there will be a 10% penalty added. Pay on our website at georgetownil.net or drop in the drop box 24/7. The drive up window and lobby are open Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
